“The 2021 CAE winning team, the Aquiferns, of Granada Hills Charter High School, recently concluded competing in the 2021 National Conservation Foundation Envirothon’s virtual event hosted by the State of Nebraska (July 25-28). The Aquiferns (pictured below, photo courtesy of Wendy Hagan, teacher advisor) placed 16th overall and second overall in Orals Finals. Forty one teams entered the International Envirothon competition and included teams from participating states as well as China and Canada. They were also the first recipients of the CAE Richard Lee Campbell Scholarship award.

Warm congratulations to the team and Wendy for their achievement and impressive orals and critical thinking skills. Despite the grueling pandemic restrictions, the team spirit prevailed! We are beaming with pride…”
